When my friend, paleontologist Dr. Ted Daeschler, told me about a recent fossil fish discovery that helped filled in the missing link between fish and amphibians, I was inspired to do this drawing. It shows Charles Darwin ( AKA ‘Chuckie D’ ) holding Ted’s Devonian fish, Tiktaalik rosae, in his arms. Who’s hand is that reaching in on the left?
