Angry Bugs of Zion
In 2004 Kirk Johnson and I headed into the deserts of Utah as part of our grand fossil tour of the American West. We ended up on a quest to find the perfect trilobite out in the rolling hills near Delta. Memories from that journey through the blazing heat and all the strange religious vibes one experiences in Mormon-land produced this surreal image. That's a lovely Modocia typicalis trilobite in the blazing hand-o-fate.
